Sync Issues: Blackberry OS 4.6.0.297 Upgrade

Performed Blackberry 4.6.0.297 OS upgrade, as well as upgrade to SplashID Desktop 5.0.1.0 and SplashID for Blackberry 5.0.1...

Current issue:
Can't sync via USB via Blackberry Desktop... Receive following message on desktop when attempting to sync via Blackberry Desktop with Bold 9000, " Launch SplashId in the device & try again"!

However, I can perform sync via WiFi. Sometimes...Othertimes, syncs empty data...

Passwords are identical...
Addin is set to "Run addin actions"

I have problems "syncing" every single time I upgrade Blackberry OS...All other Apps make the transition flawlessly!!!

I love this App, however, I spend an enormous amount time and effort everytime I upgrade my Blackberry! I just don't get it?

Any suggestions please!!! I just want to sync my Blackberry via Blackberry Desktop Mgr. and go. That's not too much to ask, is it?

We're investigating this issue.

Please try exiting the BlackBerry Desktop Manager and restarting it, then sync again.

I've upgradeded to OS 4.6.297, which works flawlessly, a week ago.

Today I wanted to upgrade to SplashID 5.0.1 and got the same message "Launch SplashID in the device and try sync again.".
I tried reinstalling as well as clean reinstall, to no avail.

UPDATE: after 3 reinstalls I managed to get the desktop app syncing with handheld via USB/BDM 5.0.0.8. Cannot work it back, sorry, spent already 2h today.

My first impressions on v5:
- BB app - visibly snappier, especially opening/closing, as well as expanding in tree view, I really like the searching!
- PC app - not much new

Try this procedure. It's worked every time for me.

Disconnect your device from the computer.

Close BB desktop manager.

Open the Windows Task Manager.

End the following apps (if running)
a) DesktopMgr.exe
b)RIMDeviceManager.exe
c)BBDevMgr.exe

Open SplashID on your device.

Close SplashID on your device.

Connect the device to your computer.

Open BB Desktop manager.

Sync

This procedure should work, and you should be able to sync a number of times. After a TBD period of time it's stops syncing again. Repeat the process and it should sync again.

Have you checked to make sure that the sync provider version displayed in the BlackBerry Desktop Manager sync Add-ins list is version 5.0.1?

Are you sure that yo have the correct password set for the correct BlackBerry PIN in the SplashID desktop?
